The 2008 California Fire / Police Winter Olympics

Mammoth Mountain has been selected to host the 2008 California Fire / Police Winter Olympics March 23-27, 2008. Join us for 5 days of racing, parties and comraderie with firefighters and police officers from all over California. Mammoth Mountain has hosted numerous World Cup Races and the 2005 U.S. National Alpine Championships and is truly a WORLD CLASS racing venue.

NEW FOR 2008 - THE CALIFORNIA FIRE / POLICE WINTER OLYMPICS ARE NOW OPEN TO FIREFIGHTERS AND POLICE OFFICERS FROM OUTSIDE OF CALIFORNIA.

2007 RESULTS ARE ON-LINE

Due to the numerous difficulties caused by late registrations:

NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AT CHECK-IN ON SUNDAY NIGHT ! YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER.
WE WILL GLADLY REFUND 100% OF YOUR MONEY IF YOU CAN'T ATTEND FOR ANY REASON AS LONG AS YOU NOTIFY US BEFORE THE START OF THE EVENT. REFUNDS WILL NO LONGER BE MADE TO PEOPLE THAT DON'T BOTHER TO CALL US AND LET US KNOW THEY ARE NOT COMING PRIOR TO THE START OF THE OLYMPICS.
You can enter the Winter Olympics by downloading the Entry Form and mailing it in with your check.

Skiers and Snowboarders of all ability levels are welcome to compete. Classes will be divided by age and ability and range from beginner to expert. Previous racing experience is not necessary to have fun and win medals in your class.

Attention Snowboarders !!!!

Boarders will have their own snowboard courses for the Giant Slalom and Slalom events.

The 2008 Fire / Police Winter Olympics will feature the following events:

Giant Slalom, Slalom, Super G and Dual Slalom Races for SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDERS

Cross Country Ski Race

Departmental Team Competition (4 people per team)

Spouses can compete in GS, Slalom and Super G

The 2009 World Firefighters Winter Games will be held in North Lake Tahoe.
